Throughout history, God has protected people from dangers. Today, as the world is becoming more and more chaotic, we should be sensing more and more danger. We are now in a practice run for the Great Tribulation, so it's important to understand Divine protection.
Here are some Bible verses related to God protecting Israel during the plagues of Egypt:
And in that day I will set apart the land of Goshen, in which My people dwell, that no swarms of flies shall be there, in order that you may know that I am the Lord in the midst of the land. And the Lord will make a difference between the livestock of Israel and the livestock of Egypt. So nothing shall die of all that belongs to the children of Israel. And the hail struck throughout the whole land of Egypt, all that was in the field, both man and beast; and the hail struck every herb of the field and broke every tree of the field. Only in the land of Goshen, where the children of Israel were, there was no hail. Exodus 8:22, 9:4,25,26 NKJV
In the above cases, Israel didn't need to do anything except keep Yahweh in their hearts, but for the 10th plague, they had to do something. Each family had to kill a passover lamb and put some of the blood on the doorposts and lintels of their homes. This is why it's a good idea to anoint our homes and property lines with oil today. People have testified how doing this prevented evil from coming onto their property.
And they shall take some of the blood and put it on the two doorposts and on the lintel of the houses where they eat it. For I will pass through the land of Egypt on that night, and will strike all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the Lord. Now the blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you are. And when I see the blood, I will pass over you; and the plague shall not be on you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt. Exodus 12:7,12,13 NKJV
Now all these things happened to them as examples and were written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the ages have come. So then, let him who thinks he stands be careful that he does not fall! No testing has overtaken you except what is common to man, and God is competent, who will not allow you to be tested beyond what you can stand, but with the testing will also provide the way out, that you may be able to endure it. 1 Cor. 10:11-13 SCS
God will preserve a remnant of loyal followers, but many Christians will also be martyred. We must keep trusting in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Seek the Lord, all you meek of the earth, who have upheld His justice. Seek righteousness, seek humility. It may be that you will be hidden in the day of the Lord's anger. Zeph. 2:3
Those Christians who are unaware of the dangers are in danger.
