Are the people and places in the Gospels historical or mythological? ... Did Jesus do the miracles and make the claims attributed to Him, or did early Christians exaggerate His life? ... Who is He? Includes 360 endnotes. Also included in the appendix is the pamphlet Outside the Heavenly City; Abortion in Rome and the Early Church's Response.

Not By Bread Alone provides research on all the doctrines of the Bible in clear and original logic, explaining complex and controversial issues confronting churches. It contains more than 8,000 Bible references within the text, and has Hebrew/Greek word studies of key theological terms, conserving time for busy pastors, Christian workers, and students. This study gives an extremely well organized, sound and thorough treatment of every aspect of theology.

Holy Matrimony: The Image of God in the Family teaches that the admiration and imitation of God is both God's purpose for creating marriage and His method for strong marriage. Neglect of the theological core of marriage, especially loyal love to a covenant, has led to superficial preaching and unworkable counsel for marital troubles. Family strength can only arise from spiritual strength. Excellent material for sermons and marriage counseling.

Outside the Heavenly City gives an historical study of abortion practices in the Roman Empire and the Christian response in early church writings. Original readers would have linked New Testament condemnation of sorcery (Greek, pharmakia) with abortion-causing drugs.
