Facing Perilous Times

The Apostle Paul wrote in 2 Timothy 3:1-5: "This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away." We are living in these times! People all over the industrialized world are living in these conditions to some degree. Most know that something is very, very wrong. Those adults who are honest will admit that they are to some degree part of the problem, although it's always easy to find someone else who is more troublesome. As Jesus warned, ethnic groups are also being raised up (by agents provocateurs) against ethnic groups. He called this time "the beginning of sorrows" (see Matthew 24:7,8). Those who have lived long enough to remember times of good morality, peace and harmony cannot help feeling some anguish and loss. The following information is intended to help people today (especially Americans) face these times with hope and courage and determination.

God is in control

Although evil is spreading, the Word of God declares that God is in control and is using evil men and corrupted institutions as His agents to accomplish His purposes. (See Romans 8:28 and Hebrews 13:5-6.) Throughout history, the rise and fall of human institutions has been the norm. Only normalcy bias makes people think that disaster will never happen to them because it hasn't so far.

God will judge justly

Psalm 2 says, "Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord, and against his anointed, saying, Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us. He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision. Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure. Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion. I will declare the decree: the Lord hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee. Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession. Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel. Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth. Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, and ye perish from the way, when His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in Him."

Although the world's leading financial and political institutions have conspired to rob the working class and give to their cronies and the welfare class, God is dealing with it. He will judge justly. The criminality of the debasement of the currency and erosion of savings of hard working people will not be forgotten. Those people who are responsible for making policy decisions will one day have to stand before Almighty God and be judged for their theft and mismanagement. Those who stand up on TV and proclaim it's a good thing will be held responsible for their lies and deception.

Warning to the richest 1%

James, the half-brother of Jesus, wrote, "Go to now, ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you. Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are motheaten. Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days. Behold, the hire of the labourers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth: and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of sabaoth. Ye have lived in pleasure on the earth, and been wanton; ye have nourished your hearts, as in a day of slaughter. Ye have condemned and killed the just; and he doth not resist you." (James 5:1-6)

Exhortation to God's people

"Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain. Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh. Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door. Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience. Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy." (James 5:7-11)

What's next?

Millions of investors around the world know that the global financial system in it's current form must collapse. The US Treasury bubble will pop. The derivatives bubble will pop. The fiat currency bubble will pop. Many banks will close. Retirement funds will be commandeered. The savings of the working class will be wiped out. It's happened before on a national level. This time it will happen internationally. It could happen today, next month, next year or a few years from now, but it must happen. Enjoy the current paradigm while it lasts.

The very best possible outcome will be something like the Great Depression and/or World War 2. However, due to today's interconnected global financial system and the highly advanced technology and weapons, we should expect much worse.

Practical ideas to prepare

Rather than ignoring the problem and the associated dangers, the prudent are taking action. Here are some suggestions:

  1. Be close to the Lord Jesus
He's the Good Shepherd, and He'll take care of His sheep, even the black sheep. Wolves usually only eat sheep who are not close to the shepherd. Repent of all known sin daily and yield to Holy Spirit and resist the devil and all evil spirits. Read the Bible daily to hear Jesus' voice, and tell Him what's on your heart.

  2. Sanctify a fast and call a solemn assembly and cry unto the Lord!
Sanctify a fast. Call a solemn assembly. Gather the elders, and all the inhabitants of the land, to the house of Yahweh, your God, and cry to Yahweh. Alas for the day! For the day of Yahweh is at hand, and it will come as destruction from the Almighty. - Joel 1:14-15 WEB

  3. Don't let the foxes guard your hen house
If God has given you capital to invest, keep it out of the hands of third parties. The safest and easiest way to do this is by holding 1/3 cash and 2/3 silver and gold. Any cash is best stored at home and/or in small, trustworthy banks. Some exposure to RMB would also be prudent, since China is more likely to back it with gold than other countries. Silver and gold are also best stored at home or in a trusted safe deposit company, preferably near to home (and not in a bank.) Get out of all retirement funds if possible, since these are historically easy targets for bankrupt governments.

  4. Be like squirrels and store up for a long winter

This should include food, water and household supplies - at least enough for the entire household for 6-12 months.

  5. Remember the Jews in Nazi Germany

God spoke to the Jewish leaders to get out of Germany, but only around 1% heeded the warning. It didn't end well!

  6. Get out of all investments denominated in USD.

  7. Have a bug-out plan.
    • Make a getaway plan and preparations in case your home is not safe.
    • Do some research on "bug out bags".
    • Pastor Clint Glenny wrote, "God will preserve a remnant. They will be involved in 24/7 David's Tabernacle prayer and worship. These places of 24/7 will create a Goshen--a place of safety. There are 5 larger "Goshen type" areas of relative safety in the U.S.:

      * W. Montana, Idaho, Utah up into Canada
      * Four corners area of Colorado, New Mexico, Utah and Arizona
      * Parts of Arkansas
      * S.E. U.S around the Appalachian Mt and
      * Northern Vermont, New Hampshire, Main up into Canada.

You must leave the major cities UNLESS God gives you a clear word to stay. This will be happening in some other places around the world but He didn't show me where He did NOT connect this to the 7 year period or the coming of the Lord. This was specifically about the U.S. and its implosion."

    • Have a passport that can be used to leave the country.

  8. Discuss preparations with your family and friends

Remember, by faith Noah prepared an ark to the saving of his house (Hebrews 11:7).
